"David Lando: "I met with 3 different people from 3 different companies. One came out, checked my AC gave me his contact info and told me I'd have an estimate by Friday. Nothing. I contacted him on Monday. He said he'd have it for me in 3 hours after he leaves SF. Nothing. Lost my business. Second one comes out, checks my AC, pulls my credit for financing. 0 interest for 5 years. I get the estimate for a 3 ton AC. Smart Heating and Air Conditioning comes out. Rep spent 2 hours with me and answers all my questions. No pressure, just facts. I get an estimate for 2000 cheaper than the other company but Smart AC's Estimate is for 2 ton AC, not 3. I contact the other rep about the difference. They said it was a typo, but it was only found after I told them about Smart AC's estimate for 2 ton AC unit. And, I had their estimate for 2 weeks. If I didn't bring up the difference, would they have caught the issue. Price didn't change either. They quoted me for 3 ton AC, they changed it to 2 ton and I still have to pay the same? AC's are expensive. Less than a new car, more than a refrigerator, so I imagine most people need financing. Turns out that if you need financing, there are hidden fees or fees that you find out about later. I didn't want the head ache or to pay more for something with interest than the actual price so I paid with a check. I went to the office to write the check for the deposit. Install went off without a hitch. Everyone was on time. Mike, the owner was there when the crane showed up. I picked the coolest day of the week for the install, but the installers were still sweating buckets on top of the roof. 3 days after they were done, I went up to see the work. I took pictures and sent them to the owner with my questions which included whether I could get a smart thermostat so I can turn the AC on with my phone and not have to go downstair if I'm in bed. Mike addressed my concerns and came out himself with an installer to fix minor issues and put in a Smart Thermostat for me. I can turn on my AC with my phone! I conveyed to Mike that his company was the only one where the office would follow up with me to see if I had any questions and knew they had to earn my business as I conveyed to them that I had been visited by two other reps from other companies. From my point of view, they were honest, on time, customer service oriented and followed through. Would gladly recommend to a friend and a family member which I did!""
